Pho Quang Hang
President
Pho Quang Hang has been actively engaged with the ACDMA for 27 years and is proud of the organisation’s many achievements, with an expressed desire to continue to promote social harmony and cultural richness within the Australian and Chinese community. Mr Hang has more than 21 years’ experience in the legal industry, establishing strong relationships with many law firms in NSW. He is a former Maths teacher and tutor, who is fluent in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and other dialects). He is also well versed in written and spoken Vietnamese. Mr Hang first joined the wider ACDMA group in 1991 and has acted in may roles including: Head of Studies of ACDMA Chinese School (1993); Principal of ACDMA Chinese School (1997); General Secretary of ACDMA (2002); President/ Chairman of ACDMA (2007 to the present day). During his period of tenure he has collaborated on the establishment and development of numerous projects and institutions to benefit the local community including: the Community Services Centre; the Aged Care facility; the Community Chinese School and the Child Care Centre.
William Zhu
General Manager
William has extensive business and management experience, joining ACDMA as General Manager in 1991. William is a passionate and active community member, is fluent in seven dialects and is an accredited Level 3 translator. He has overseen the growth and development of the facility from a single block to the current three and will manage the development of the new building slated for completion by late 2020. William is committed to leading a culture of safety and quality improvement to enhance the health and well-being of ACDMA’s residents and the wider community.
Joy Chen
Clinical Care Manager
Joy is a Registered Nurse who joined the facility as Clinical Care Manager in 2007. She oversees a staff of 60 including care workers and the kitchen, cleaning and laundry team. She is supported by a Clinical Supervisor and is proud of the 24 hour per day, seven day per week RN coverage provided at ACDMA.
Joy is fluent in English, Mandarin, Shanghai dialect and she also speaks basic Cantonese. Joy is an active participant in the ACDMA Medical Advisory Committee and is Chair of monthly Continuous Quality Improvement meetings. Joy recognises the importance of internal controls and risk management systems and is committed to her role in the continuing development of the ACDMA workforce.
