ACDMA offers both single and double room accommodation. Our rooms are fully air-conditioned, personalised spaces, with independent private balconies, modern nurse call facilities and the equipment necessary to provide safe, quality aged care services. ACDMA Residential Care includes meals in the dining room, cleaning and laundry, as well as assisted personal care and medication management. There are two large, light, airy and open dining spaces for the comfort and convenience of our residents. Our communal spaces include two large community hubs where a range of activities are provided on a daily basis. The ACDMA environment is calming and peaceful, including a beautiful traditional Chinese garden at the heart of the facility, flowing out to a tranquil bush setting beyond the boundary. The facility is within an easy walking distance of Kwan Yin Temple and is close to rail transportation at adjacent Canley Vale railway station.

Service with integrity and respect where residents are encouraged to exercise choice and independence.

ACDMA engages a skilled workforce and is committed to their ongoing training and development. We undertake a regular review of staff performance to enable continuous improvement. We provide Registered Nurse coverage 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Our diverse and culturally sensitive team is fluent in a variety of languages and dialects including but not limited to English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese. All ACDMA staff respect our residents’ right to make informed choices, to understand their options, and to be as independent as they desire. They are involved with, listen to and respect resident’s views and communicate with them about their choices.  At ACDMA ongoing assessment and planning is used to identify and addresses current needs, goals and preferences.

activities & services

ACDMA provides supports for daily living that meet each resident’s emotional, spiritual and psychological well-being.

ACDMA is aware that well-being and quality of life are improved by relationships with others and by doing things that are enjoyable and meaningful, providing a sense of purpose and identity. To this end, we offer a range of recreational and social activities as well as therapeutic and Allied Care services.

 

Activities include (but are not limited to): yum-cha buffets, outdoor events, cultural activities and events, birthday celebrations, arts and crafts, Chinese singing and performances, Daily entertainers; and Tai Chi.

accomodation

ACDMA offers both single and double rooms, all with ensuite facilities. The average single room size is 21.70 square metres.

 

Our rooms are of varied design and layout but all are of a bedsitter design with spacious bathrooms, reverse cycle air-conditioning, private balconies, close to dining areas, personal nursing care, cleaning and laundry services, recreational activities, volunteer support and medical services as required.

financials

Accommodation costs can be paid either as a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or a combination of both.

 

Residents have a period of 28 days after entering to decide on their payment method. Accommodation costs are determined by a resident’s assessable income and assets.

Ongoing care fees include:

  • Basic Daily Fee – payable by all residents and determined by the Federal Government.

  • Means Tested Care Fee – will be determined by a resident’s assessable income and assets.

  • The value of your home will be assessed for the purpose of the Means Test Care Fee up to a cap unless occupied by a protected person such as your spouse.

  • Residents can spend up to 52 nights a year away from the aged care home without affecting any government financial assistance. This is called social leave and only counts if you spend the night away from the care home. If you spend more than 52 nights away from the home, the government will cease to pay any subsidies for the extra time and the home may ask you to pay more.
